Job description

Our gorgeous, Italian restaurant seeks friendly and upbeat servers to work variable shifts, including weekends. The ideal candidate loves making small talk with customers and is willing to learn patrons' names in our local establishment. He or she should be willing to fill in as needed for busboys and bartenders to keep up with busy shifts. Some back-of-house assistance might be needed, such as with counting down tills and inspecting/cleaning restrooms. If you love the restaurant business and genuinely enjoy people, we need to hear from you.

Duties Include:

Greet customers as soon as they walk through the door
Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
Seat guests and take initial drink orders as needed to ensure ideal speed of service
Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
Learn food and beverage menu
Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section
Taking customers' food and drink orders
Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock
Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
Ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations

Award winning Chef Luigi Cavallaro was born and raised in Bolzano, Italy. Chef's mission is to present real authentic Italian food in a classic Italian Family atmosphere.

Trattoria Pasquale began operations in 2012 in the beautiful South Tampa area. In 2017 we became Luigi's Kitchen, Inc. but we still retain the name Trattoria Pasquale, named after Luigi’s father, Pasquale Cavallaro (1923-2003). We are grateful that we have been able to delight and satisfy the culinary desires of thousands of customers, local and tourist alike.

Every year, Chef Luigi and Kim head to Italy to visit family and set out in search of new authentic dishes. On our return, our menu changes to incorporate the best of our discoveries. Bringing real Italian food - using old-world family recipes and new found recipes straight from Italy. Ingredients are always fresh - nothing but the best.
